Circle of Oboros (Bernd)
To be honest I didn't want to play with three players again (I didn't like the turtling last time). But this scenario was a lot of fun.
In my second turn I moved my units too far to the front. I didn't think Dani would go for it, but he did and crushed my force utterly. At this point, I thought I was out of the game. And in turn 4 I thought I would sacrifice Kaya in order to keep the game going on. But then Dani managed to kill Kreoss. I didn't think that would be possible.
And all of a sudden I was back in the game and managed to bring home the victory! Very nice game and well played by Dani (it was his second game and first game with Nemo).
Protectorate of Menoth (Matthias)
So close... The stupid Chargers tricked me with their name, not one of them charged the whole game! Instead they assassinated Kreoss with their guns... Ok, having already fielded them myself I should have known...
The game was a lot of fun. After my third turn no one thought I would be able to loose the game. If I could have engaged the second Charger with my Revenger I would probably have managed to succeed. The dimension of gaining victory points by having more points of Warjacks/Warbeasts on the ziggurat really added to the tactical possibilities. In the Mosh Pit scenario as written, you have to be the sole contender of the control zone, which is quite difficult to archieve without wrecking at least most of the enemy 'jacks, und pushing/slamming the rest out. Going by points of models allows to specifically wreck one model to gain the upper hand and a victory point.
Moving Kreoss out of his hiding place behind the rock did not seem too dangerous, and from behind the rock his Feat would not have been as effective. And it was Dani's second game of Warmachine... who would have thought he came up with such a nice plan? But basically I again did wrong what I do since my first game: I did not protect my Warcaster and was deservedly punished for it.
