Special Rules / Adaptions
  1. Attacker/Defender

We played a 'Mission' game, with the Minor Power player being the defender, and the Dictator Force the attacker.

  2. Tactical Plannin & Request for Support

    • Minor Power Force (defender)

      • The defender asked for one medium tank with standard armour and gun for his unit 1. He allocated 3 planning points for this request and made the roll.

      • Unit 2 requested the same but none was granted.

      • For unit 3 and 4 wheeled armoured cars with a rapid firing cannons were requested and also granted.

      • Unit 5 wanted some protection in form of some more soldiers, but higher command decided that enough was already allocated to the force.

    • Dictator Force (attacker)

      • The attacker requested and received fixed wing aircraft support for unit 1 (using all planning points).

      • Unit 2 requested a wheeled armoured car with a rapid cannon but failed its roll by 1.

      • Units 3,4 and 5 asked for more Small Arm equipped men, but only unit 4 received them.

  3. Arrival Rolls

The defender had units 1,2 and 4 available at the start of the game, the attacker had units 1,2,3 and 5 available.

  4. Objectives

    We placed three possible objectives:

    • A scout helicopter with some intel

    • Some persons in the village

    • A truck with important supplies

Move - Shoot: The unit moved towards the attackers around the village, targeting the advancing T-64 tanks. The rapid fire cannons were out of range, but the tank guns opened up knocking two T-64 out.

  • Attacker Unit 5

Shoot: In response, the attackers artillery trained their guns on Unit 2 supressing both Saladins.

  • Defender Unit 1

Shoot - Move: The medium tank took out another of the T-64. Then the whole unit moved towards the attacker, the infantry occupying the woods.

  • Attacker Unit 2

The lone remaining tank fired at the medium tank of the defender, which vanished in a big explosion.

  • Defender Unit 4

The unit moved forward to engage the attacker's lorries behind the wood. The recoilles rifle missed but the Rapid fire Cannon of the AC destroyed one. The infantry quickly jumped out.
