Humans

The humans moved on, watching the sky for their freedom bird.

Bugs

A bug hole opened to the right of the humans, and a Hormagant popped out which was immediately wasted by the Sergeant and Brother Primarius.

Humans

The Seargeant Brother Primarius, Brother Quarterus and Brother Secundus faced the bughole while Brother Tertiarius faced the groups rear.

Bugs

Another bug hole opened directly in front of the group and a Genestealer came out. Of course the hole opened on the side of the Humans no Scout was facing.

From the bug hole already open three Genestealer and six Hormagants emerged. When the fire from the humans finally ceased only two Genestealers were still standing, the rest lay dead on the ground.

The Genestealer from the second hole tore into the civilian with the red shirt and the flour bag (which did the poor guy no good against the claws) and left only red gore of him - which fit the man's shirt nicely indeed.

Humans

Brother Primarius moved towards the bughole and threw his last grenade into it but it turned out to be a dud. The Sergeant tried the same but his grenade also was a dud - as was the grenade Brother Quarterus lobbed into the hole! Obviously they had been given some old grenades someone had to get rid of.

Brother Tertiarius moved into the flank of the Genestealer who just killed one of the civilians and opened up on him as did Brother Secundus.

The three remaining civilians moved behind the soldiers.

Bugs

From the first bug hole four Genestealer and two Hormagants emerged, from the hole directly with the humans nine Hormagants emerged.

The Bugs emerging from the first hole were taken under fire from Brother Secundus and his heavy weapon. The first Genestealer to emerge was struck down with a critical wound, reducing him to pink mist. Another did not take the heavy incoming fire and vanished back into the hole he just jumped out from.

On the second hole the first bugs coming out were cut down in the deadly crossfire. One of them escaped relatively unharmed though and charged the frightend women, but being weakened of his wounds did not hit her.

One of the bugs jumped back down into the hole all others were killed.

The Genestealer that came out of the hole last round and had killed a civillian charged Brother Tertiarius. Brother Tertiarius tried to shoot the onrushing Genestealer but missed him and was attacked in close combat where he received a flesh wound. Brother Tertiarius shrugged it of. He fought back and found a hole in the Genestealers armour plates which caused the beast to shriek out in pain.

Humans

Brother Primarius shot at the Hormagant that advanced towards him but missed. Brother Quarterus finally grabbed a grenade that did explode in the hole, thus sealing it.

Brother Secundus let loose on the Genestealer advancing towards him wounding him.

Brother Tertiarius again caused a critical wound on his adversary with his big Scout Knife, The Genestealer in return missed.

The remaining two civilians charged to help the women, one of them wounding the alien with a cabbage. The women herself caused a critical wound with her long nails and the outnumbered alien ran for it.

When the Serageant saw that the Civilians could hold out on their own at the moment he tried to kill a Hormagant that was dangerously close. He hit him with several bullets tearing great holes in the armour and into the flesh below. The Hormagant moved behind the cottage to lick his wounds.

Bugs

The wounded Genestealer charged Brother Secundus who did not manage to train his weapon on the Alien before it was to late. He was lightly wounded but missed the alien with his return blow.

Brother Tertiarius was charged by another Genestealer which he shot down before it could close. The other Genestealer missed Brother Tertiarius.

From the still open Bug Hole three Genestealers and seven Hormagants joined the battle. Brother Quarterus got a shot at several of them but did not manage to kill one. Some others were picked off when they moved into LOS of the Seargeant and Brother Primarius, three were killed in this process.

Humans

Brother Tertiarius fought on in close combat and caused yet another critical wound. The Genestealer was too weak to hit him but still kept pressing the attack.

The Seargeant and Brother Primarius killed a Hormagant in their crossfire and moved with the civilians towards the helicopter landing zone.

Brother Secundus fought another roumd of hand-to-hand combat with the Genestealer and both suffered further wounds.

Bugs

The Genestealer finally hacked Brother Secundus to pieces. The same was done with Brother Tertiarius. Now only three soldiers were there to protect the civilians...

The Aliens moved towards the Marine Scouts in a great wave. One of the Hormagants moved around the cottage but was shot dead by Brother Primarius.

From the Bug Hole five Hormagaunts emerged.

Humans

The helicopter finally arrived. He swooped low over the battlefield, the big machine guns at ist sides blazing away, killing some aliens. The he landed at the designated landing zone.

The Seargeant hurried towards the chopper, shooting down the nearest Hormagant.

The civilians hurried into the Helicopter and collapsed exhausted to the floor, at the end of their tether.

Brother Primarius and Brother Quarterus covered the retreat of their seargeant, laying down a heavy barrage at the aliens.

Bugs

In a last attempt the aliens tried to prevent the humans from escaping, but none of them was fast enough to engage any human.
